The accomplishment or reverses
of the laws of nature - equally a
proof of Divine power + wisdom.

but this Sentence was remitted to Enoch
Strange! but few materials of his life.
Adam had died. 57 years before
Enoch was translated = an evident
proof to the world of the truth of [?] promise
Gen. 3:15. He began early to discharge
his duty as a man + member
of Society was a parent at 65
(son first) earlier than any except
Mahaleel. The most extraordinary
circumstance of his life is
that he walked with God + he was
not [??] He had been contemporary
with Adam 308 years = reason
of patriarchal longevity.

we will enquire into it.

To walk together implies communion
+ reconciliation for Amos 3:3.
Man naturally Rom. [7] 8:7. This want
must be removed. His mind was enlightened
by Gods Spirit + his will renewed
by Divine Grace. Repentance begun

+ thirst + seek forgiveness +e. aright + devote
himself to his service.
II. Generally in the exercise + cultivation
of ye Graces of the Spirit implanted
in the soul Some of them are more particularly
exerciser toward God others
man + others himself Lit. 2:11:12.
Love - fear + trust + justice + Humanity
+ self-governments.

Meditate in solitude-discourse

Realize his presence habitually.

III. Of such an one it may truly be said [?]
1. 10:9 Safe from present dangers. Per[?]
immunity from dangers not to be expected
here. Worldly men think that a
certain artful sagacity founded on a
knowledge of the world is more necessary
+ safe + that by duplicity + cunning
they can gain; but, on examining closely,
we shall find that the plain, honest,
pious man always steers straitest + has
fewest broils best character. Cunning
+ proud men aim higher = walk on a
precipice where one false step +e.
Whereas the good man walks on the
plain, leve[?] way of truth light guides
his feet. No danger of miscarriages
or fallacy detected. He fears not
investigation Does not exclude prudence
Not improvident simplicity + enlarged
capacity + extensive views still prudent.
2. Most honorable uprightness in the
foundation of all + [?] is high in character
among men. Other qualities may
add to its splendor; but [?] want

but the wicked must trust to his own abilities,
such as they are + address.
4. Safest as to future rewards. Best which
in but rewarded at last. Ps. 37:37.
Rom. 2:7. Tho The reward be distant,
the hope is present = anchor
of the soul. A man firmly believing
that he is protected by God, + that he
shall be rewarded will act steady
+ right + will follow without fear.
To every motive the hope of heaven adds
