- Description:
- Sermon written by Reverend Henry Newton on John 14:23: 'If a man love me he will keep my commandments.' Newton first discusses the origins of this quote and then describes how many are Christians in name only. He goes on to describe how a true Christian must practice God's commandments daily, not just agree with them. A true Christian must also do good works and persevere through hardship and struggle. Finally, he reinforces this by showing how the Bible stresses evidence for love of God.
