- Description:
- Sermon written by Reverend Henry Newton comparing Jesus Christ to the bronze snake used by Moses to heal the Israelites. Newton retells the story of the Exodus and how God instructed Moses to create a bronze snake so that whoever looked at it would be cured of the snakebites plaguing the Israelite camp. Newton then describes their differences such as how the snake only cures one disease but Christ cures all. Finally, he describes their similarities: how both are appointed for the healing of man, that both must be looked unto, and that all who look are saved.
