- Description:
- Sermon written by Reverend Henry Newton on the guilty conscience of Saul as the Philistines invade Israel. Newton describes how Saul had been blessed by God but, not honoring that blessing with more devotional acts, fell from grace and thus felt great fear and anxiety. Newton then goes on to note the ways in which his modern audience has been blessed by God and must therefore honor that or face the consequences as did Saul.
