- Description:
- Sermon written by Reverend Henry Newton ruminating on this quote by Joshua: 'And if it seem evil unto you to server the Lord: choose you this day whom you will serve.' Newton describes the situation in which Joshua delivered this line to the Isrealites and then details the different kinds of unbelievers found in an audience. He describes those who believe but don't practice, those enchanted by worldly pleasures, those who see the Bible as a book of enigmas too complicated for them, and those who want both spirituality and worldy pleasures. He then describes the consequences of not believing and speaks to the importance of accepting the Lord as soon as possible.
