Preaching record book written by Reverend Henry Newton covering the years 1852 through 1858. The notes detail each preaching engagement for the month including what sermons were preached and where they were given. The notes also give details on tithe collections, audience reactions, audience disturbances, church activities and duties, camp meetings and sermons to enslaved Africans.
From notes: Discusses the reception among audience members, events among members and the church that day, as well as ordinary church activities, preaching at Methodists churches; camp meetings; notes on camp meeting sermons, including (1852) Alonzo Church, President of UGA; Hopewell Presbytery meetings; and sermons to enslaved African Americans.
