- This 5" x 7" black-and-white photograph shows Betty Jean Carter, Governor Herman Talmadge, and Evelyn Burkett in costume on Georgia Day during the Worth County Centennial Celebration in Sylvester, Worth County, Georgia in October of 1953. Georgia Day took place on Wednesday during the Worth County Centennial Celebration. In the background, Ann McDonald, Alice Wingate, Margaret Bius, and an unidentified woman can be seen sitting in an automobile. This photograph was commissioned by the Worth County Centennial Commission and was taken by Bell Photography out of Sylvester, Georgia.
