- This 8" x 10" black-and-white photograph shows a group of people dressed in costume on a float during a Worth County Centennial Celebration Parade in Sylvester, Worth County, Georgia in October of 1953. Some of the people in the photograph are (starting with the boy on the left with a hat on the front row) George Hambrick, Charlotte Davis, Sandra Holton, Melba Roth, an unidentified woman, Mrs.Hayward Brown, an unidentified woman, and Nettie Lewis. Blondie Powell can also be seen on the far left of the float, near the end. Funding for this project provided by Georgia HomePLACE, a unit of the Georgia Public Library Service.
