- Early-twentieth century postcard image of the picturesque Hampton Terrace Hotel in North Augusta, S.C. Built locally by the North Augusta Hotel Company in 1903, the Hampton Terrace Hotel was marketed as "The Most Magnificent Winter Resort in the World." Hampton Terrace Hotel remained in operation for thirteen years until a short circuit in the building's wiring caused a fire that destroyed the hotel on December 31, 1916.
