- Turn-of-the-twentieth century postcard image of Broad Street in Augusta, Georgia, depicting commercial buildings, wagons, vendors, and shoppers. During the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries Broad Street became known as the business and commercial center for Augusta. In addition to the retail stores which lined both sides of the street, local vendors wishing to peddle their merchandise flooded Broad Street every morning.
