Lifers Reflections
Trust the past to Gods mercy, the present to
Gods love, and the future to Gods providence.
Mrs. Geraldine Williams Mincey was bom on
January 29, 1951, in Evans County, Claxton,
GA, to the late Robert and Emma Williams. She
was a graduate of the Evans County Longhorn
Class of 1969. Mrs. Mincey was married to the
late Mr. Dorsey Mincey of Glennville, GA. She
worked as a home health aide for Tattnall
County, also employed by Claxton
Manufacturing and Glennville Lingerie. In the
year of 1985, the month of March, Mrs. Mincey
was involved in a serious automobile accident,
which left her paralyzed from the waist down.
She was hospitalized at Memorial Medical
Center in Savannah, GA, for six months, for
medical treatment. The doctors stated that she
would never drive or be able to do every day
tasks, or have any physical feelings in her lower
extremities, but by the grace of God, she over-
came all of these obstacles and many more. She
was a member of Holy Temple Pentecostal
Church of Glennville, GA, where the pastor is
Overseer Dexter Edwards. She served under the
leadership of Pastor Edwards for 22 years. Sis.
Mincey served as Youth Director and church
treasurer, and always made herself available to
do anything that she could to support the min-
istry.
Sis. Mincey was called home to receive her
reward on June 29, 2011, at Memorial Medical
Center in Savannah, GA.
