Mrs. Geraldine Williams Mincey was bom on January 29, 1951, in Evans County, Claxton, GA, to the late Robert and Emma Williams. She was a graduate of the Evans County Longhorn Class of 1969. Mrs. Mincey was married to the late Mr. Dorsey Mincey of Glennville, GA. She worked as a home health aide for Tattnall County, also employed by Claxton Manufacturing and Glennville Lingerie. In the year of 1985, the month of March, Mrs. Mincey was involved in a serious automobile accident, which left her paralyzed from the waist down. She was hospitalized at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA, for six months, for medical treatment. The doctors stated that she would never drive or be able to do every day tasks, or have any physical feelings in her lower extremities, but by the grace of God, she over- came all of these obstacles and many more. She was a member of Holy Temple Pentecostal Church of Glennville, GA, where the pastor is Overseer Dexter Edwards. She served under the leadership of Pastor Edwards for 22 years. Sis. Mincey served as Youth Director and church treasurer, and always made herself available to do anything that she could to support the min- istry. Sis. Mincey was called home to receive her reward on June 29, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, GA. Her memory will always be cherished by her loved ones, including a truly devoted daughter, Cassonya (James) Frazier of Glennville, GA; two sons, Donnie (Shonda) Mincey of Chicago, IL and Derrick (Sharon) Mincey of Vidalia, GA; fourteen grandchildren, Antwan, Justin, Savannah, Kadeshia, James Jr., Willie, Tamara, Sarah, Kanisha, DaShawn, Antranette, Melvin, Tevin, Tyeasha; two sisters, Mrs. Pauline Golden of Pembroke, GA and Mrs. Vivian Hagan of Warner Robins, GA; three brothers, Mr. Leandrus (Doris) Williams of Claxton, GA, Mr. Johnnie Williams of Savannah, GA and the late James Robert Williams; two brothers-in- law, the late Wilson Golden and the late Donald Hagan; three godchildren, Joy Edwards, Paige Walker, DaiJia Edwards; one aunt, BeRetha Williams of Savannah, GA; one uncle, J. Williams of Claxton, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special friends. Prophetess Sharon King of Glennville, GA and Pastor Patricia Shider of Waycross, GA.
