Obituary
God, our Heavenly Father who doeth all things well and maketh all
things work together for the good of those who love Him, called Mr.
Henry Ward Beacher Baker to His heavenly home on January 29,
2006.
Beacher was the oldest son of the late Mr. Randolph and Mrs. Sudie

Beacher became an active member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist
Church under the leadership of Pastor Nora Connor. On June 1,
1959 he was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Mamie Futch.
To this union, one son was born.
He was a veteran of World War II. After his Honorable Discharge,
he returned to Manassas, Georgia and resided there for many,
many years. Beacher was a member of Saint Josephs Lodge #76
and a chartered member of the Gladiators.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Sudie Hol-
land Baker, and three brothers, Walter, James, and Levone.
His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Futch Baker of Claxton,
Georgia; one son, Mr. Endrei (Almarita) Baker of Claxton, Georgia;
one sister, Mrs. Beautine Baker Burns (Rev. Tellis Cornelius, Sr.) of
Plainfield, Illinois; one brother Mr. Mckinley (Ruby Dell Everett)
