Deacon Stevenson Stevie Benjamin was born June 9, 1955 to Rev.
James Benjamin, Sr. and the late Juanita Jones Benjamin in Claxton,
Georgia. On February 23, 2002 he peacefully made his transition
into Life Everlasting and Christian Victory was declared
following a sudden illness.
Stevie attended the local schools and graduated from Claxton High
School in 1973. His faith and love of God were manifested when he
chose to follow His path by uniting with St. John Missionary Baptist
Church and later aspired to and became a working Deacon in the
church.
Stevie married Brenda Gail Smith on September 20, 1980, and of
that union produced Tulea Monique born on December 12, 1983.
He was a member of the Vidalia District Sons of Allen for several
years. He served as a diligent worker at Evans County Food Bank.
He served as Vice Chairman of the Deacon Ministry. Stevies life

Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, if so we saw it there. Perhaps
you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say ; perhaps you
were not there at all, just thought of us that day. Whatever you
did to console our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the
part.

The Family
To My Family
I Am Now In Heaven
I am now in Heaven,
The gates have opened wide,
Aid now I have the privilege of walking by his side
The angel choir is singing, and the music is so sweet;
Ill join them just as soon as I have worshipped at His feet.
I am now in Heaven,
The blood washed thong is here,
I recognize a lot of them. Theres not a single tear.
Theres joy beyond description and reunions by the score;
Therell be no separations. For well be here ever more.
I am now in Heaven,
Please wipe away your tears.
Ive fought the battle, run the race. Im rid of all my fears.
There is no pain or sorrow here. The heartaches are now past;
Ive read and sung of Heaven, and now Im here at last!
I am now in Heaven
And Oh, the place is grand!
No one could ever tell me all the beauties of this land.
Since I cannot describe it, youll have to come and see
That it was worth the trials
To live here eternally!
