OBITUARY
Mr. Toylie Hendirx, Jr. was born to the parents of
Toylie Hendrix, Sr. and Gladys Brown Hendrix on Octo-
ber 9, 1993. He was a 1953 graduate of Evans County
High School. A veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of Thomas Grove A.M.E. Church
where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, on the
Trustee Board, on the Steward Board, and a Choir mem-
ber, a class leader, President of the Layman's Organiza-
tion, Chairman of the Finance Committee, an official
delegate to the District Conference. He was a Lay Speaker.
In addition, he was a member of the St. Joseph's Lodge No.
76 and a member of the Statesboro Consistory No. 348.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Willene Thompson.
He leaves to mourn former wife Pauline Hendrix for 18
years; his daughters Bobbie Ray Stuckey, Cathy Brewton
of Claxton, Georgia and Rhonda Smith of Arlington,
Virginia; one son, Carl Hendrix of Savannah, Georgia;
one brother, Bernard Hendrix of Bronx, New York; nine
grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He leaves his wife, Willene Thompson, and La Wanda
Hendrix and La Rae Hendrix of Claxton, Georgia.
