I, Charles E. Mix, Acting Commissioner of Indian Affairs, do hereby certify that, the Records in this Office Show, that Commissioners Washington and Mason (3rd Board) appointed to examine claims under the treaty of
1835 -
6 with the Cherokees, had under adjudication the Claim of Andrew Taylor, for the value of a Pre-emption, under said treaty -- and, that they rejected the same -- ; Also, that the same Claim was considered by the 4th and last Board of Commissioners, and by them finally rejected.
