Dear Sir,
As it will not be in my power to make a Visit to Louisville untill [until] the termination of the ensuing Circuit -- You will oblige me by receiving the enclosed order for my quarter's salary to [illegible text] due on the first Monday in May next, and transmit me the amount by our friend Colo. [Colonel] Harris To him I beg leave to refer you for particulars relative to our late expedition to the Cherokee Nation -- Be pleased to make my complements acceptable to Mrs Mounger & all friends
