Mississippi District- George the third by the grace of God of great Britain, France and Ireland, King Defender of the Faith, &c [et cetera] --
To Eacheopaye Gorget Chief and Captain of Bugtuclo --

Having especial trust and confidence in your great loyalty, abilities and good conduct- and in consideration of your great reputation and influence in your nation, and the great value You ought to have for Such an honor. We do hereby authorise [authorize] and appoint you to be and act as Gorget Chief and Captain of a party of the town of Bugtuclo. And we do likewise require [added text: & direct ] all of our subjects of what class or denomination soever [whatsoever] to pay due regard to you the said Eacheepaye subject to the orders of the Superintendant [Superintendent] -- And we do likewise require & direct all and every of the Indians in your Said district to pay due regard to you the said Eacheepaye --
Witness our trusty and well beloved Alexander Cameron Esqr. our Agent for and Superintendant [Superintendent] of Indian Affairs on this side the Mississippi at Pensacola this
3d day march in the year of our Lord 1781 and in the 21st year of our Reign
