- This is a receipt for eighteen kegs provided Major George Handley (later Governor of Georgia, 1788-1789) for the use of the Tallasee (Tallassee, Talasee, Tallassie) King, his head men and warriors from the Creek Nation for the carriage of their liquor. The receipt, dated June 6, 1782, is endorsed by Deputy Superintendent of Indian Affairs, Richard Henderson.
