Personally came before me Rachel Fuguson who being duly sworn deposes that she is the widow of John Fuguson formally of the County and state aforesaid decd [deceased] & late a soldier in the Augusta Voluntier [Volunteer] Rangers commanded by W. Barton in the service of the U. S. against the Creek Indians that the said John Fuguson is represented to have died While in the services aforesaid and that he has left three children (To wit William John & Abel) by this deponent and further that this deponent now is & has ever since the death of said John Fuguson remained unmarried
