- This document is an account of goods and services provided for Colonel J.W.A. Sanford, commander of the Georgia Guard, by Jacob M. Scudder, a white trader in the Cherokee Nation. The services include the boarding of three civil officers brought in to try Cherokee Indians under the jurisdiction of the state of Georgia. Scudder's signature appears on the document along with a statement indicating receipt of payment from Sanford. Although the account is dated January 4, 1832, it is not clear exactly when this document was created since an entry dated January 24 also appears on the document.
