Sir,
I write you at the request of a Mr. James Anderson of this place who is desirous of receiving the appointment of Surveyor to run the line between the Creeks & Cherokees if Your Excellency shall determine to have it run in any short time. with Regard to Mr. Anderson's qualifications I know but little, he has been our County Surveyor for some time, and I presume is capable of discharging the duties which would be required of him.

Yours very respectfully
[Signed] William Ezzard
