Dear Sir
Permit me to trouble you with a request that you will be so obliging as to have forwarded to our County a list of the Negroes taken by Colo [Colonel] Clinch at Apalachicola, as there are several of our planters who have lost property of that description, and have made enquiries concerning it, and I am also interested in the Estate of [unclear text: F.P. Fatio ] decd. [deceased] who has in the Indian Nation forty nine Negroes besides the increase of a part since the [unclear text: Year ]
1801.
I wrote to your Excelly [Excellency] on the
31st July which I hope you have received. [ Note: Miscellaneous mathematical calculations appear at the bottom of this page. ]
I am respectfully Your obdt Sevt [obedient Servant]
[Signed] Willm. [William] Gibson His Excy. [Excellency] D.B. Mitchell Governor of the State of Georgia [added text: [unclear text: L.L. ] ]
