Personally appeard [appeared] before me William Smith Jr. Being Duly Sworn Saith on oath that he was In the house of James A Everett and heard the said Everett say that he had a parcel of Cattle a Comeing [Coming] In and at the Same time Some person observd. [observed] that people ware [were] going [deleted text: over ] [illegible text] over the River then the Said Everett observd. [observed] that he would go and turn them [deleted text: Back ] Indians Back that he was the occation [occasion] of thier Comeing [their Coming] and the Said transaction were [illegible text] In the Month
