The Petition of Mariam Bagby resident in the 7th District of Baldwin now Jones.
Sheweth [Shows] That on the
27th day of October 1810 she obtained a Certificate from James Bozeman Comptroller Genl. [General] of said state Substantiating her claims of which the following is a copy "Comptroller General office Georgia, Milledgeville
27th October 1810. I certify that it appears from the affidavits of George Bagby Elijah Bankston and [unclear text: Macajah ] Williamson filed in this office agreeably to the several Laws of this state for calling in and establishing the claims of the Citizens of the state against the Creek Nation of Indians for property stolen, and Plundered by the said Nation of Indians that there were stolen and plundered from the said George Bagby seven head of Horses and one hunting Saddle and three sides of Tanned Leather the whole valued at Six hundred and Eighty one dollars"" signed "Jas [James] Bozeman Compr Genl. [Comptroller General] "
Your Excellencys Petitioner humbly hopes you will take into view her situation during this Legislation and have her claim discharged. She has made application to Col. B. Hawkins agent of Indian affairs who says he can do nothing in the case without the concurrence of the Government of the State
May it therefore please your Excellency to communicate this circumstance to the Legislator of this State to take into consideration your Petitioners Claims more of which due to others are still unsatisfied,
And your Petitioners as in duty Bound will ever pray &c. [et cetera]
