Sir
As I am confident that you are at this time fully acquainted with the different and dangerous Vicissitude which I have encountered Since I saw you at augusta [edge of document] I [deleted text: ag ] acted in the Character of Agent with [edge of document] Powr [Power] to negociate [negotiate] with your Government for the common safety of the Citizens of Georgia, and the Citizens of Franklin: -- I will be silent on that subject at present: and therefore only beg leave to indulge Your attention for a Moment (as Chief Magistrate in Your State) to view the spirit of an act entitled an Act! To suppress the Violence of the Indians where you will find that the [unclear text: beg [beginning] ] Bent of the Tennessee is given to the Franklin People for the Service they have Performed in favor of the Citizens of the State of Georgia in the Indien [Indian] War: -- by opposing with all possible exertion the dangerous intent of the Creeks and their allies against Your State:
This being promised You must concur with me in Sentiments that I am in duty bound to appear in behalf of those

Citizens who then empowered me as Agent to represent them; -- and in that Character I now enter a Caveat against any title or Claim that tends to deprive those Citizens of the Benefit they may desire from the just claim which they have to the land laying in the [unclear text: beg [beginning] ] Bent of the Tennesee by Virtue of the aforesaid Act!
I beg my best Respect to Mrs. Tellfair and Famely [Family] accompanied with my wish of health; and that you may live Long to the Honor of Your Country.

Judge Osburn will receive a Letter from me on the occasion and I have requested of him to shew [show] it to You. -- as soon as possible I shall do myself the honor to wait upon You adieu!
