To the head King of the CussetasThe chiefs and warriors of all the Towns in the creek Nation

Friends & Brothers
I have heard the talk sent by your beloved man the head King of the Cussetas, to your beloved man the white bird King & by him delivered to us, as also the white wing in token of friendship, which with your talk I have sent on to the big white towns and in return I give you a white flag, to be presented to your beloved man, the head King of the Cussetas, as a token that we also wish the path kept straight & white between our people & your nation
Friends & Brothers
I have come agreat [a great ] way by order of our great beloved men at the big white towns to see justice done between you & to you and our beloved people in the State of Georgia, and to mark the line between you and to make it straight that the white people might see how far they had aright [a right ] to hunt and settle upon, without running over the line upon your lands, and that your people also might see, and know the same line and not cross it to disturb our peaceable people while they are working at their homes to make bread for themselves & families

Friends & Brothers
I have come a great way to meet the beloved men of your Nation in peace & friendship and in peace & friendship with them to mark the line, to keep peace on both sides and shew [show] the mad people on both sides, how far they will be allowd [allowed ] to go, without bringing trouble upon themselves & their country people
But the days are not all gone and I shall do nothing rashly. I will wait with patience untill [until] your white talk from your beloved man, the Head King of the Cussetas, get to our beloved men at the great white Towns, and hear their talks in answer in the mean time I shall be glad to see any of your beloved men [deleted text: at the great white Towns ] and take them by the hand in peace & friendship to hear & take their talks, we know your beloved men, we have seen them & heard of them before, and shall still be glad to hear from them & to see them in peace & friendship, but I shall shall [shall ] shut my Ears against the mouth of all strangers and people I dont know, who may want to do mischief and stain the path between your people and us
I got a letter from a Stranger who makes a great mouth and calls himself director of your Nation and head of you all, which we know to be lies, he was not born among you, he is not of your blood and therefore

we know him to be a liar, but I have notwithstanding sent his letter to our great men at the big white Towns to laugh at
He tells us that he is a greater man than Mr. McGillivray,. If Genl. [General] McGilliveray will tell us so too, then we may believe it -- we have seen Genl. [General] McGilliveray and we know him, and we know him to be of your own blood and one of your people and belovd [beloved] among you, and he always tells us & you the truth, and we will take his talks and his letters because we know him
Here are some presents made up for your two beloved men who came down with the talk and also for the Bird tail King who deliverd [delivered] it which are bestowd [bestowed ] on them inpeace [in peace ] and Friendship
