Georgia Richmond County
This day appeared before me [unclear text: Mr. ] John Winn [unclear text: Junr. [Junior] ] of South Carolina and made oath that on friday last he, this deponent was at the House of General Andrew Pickens, on Seneca and there Saw Colo. [Colonel] Alexander [unclear text: McGilveray ] [deleted text: and ] Colo. [Colonel] Willett and at least twenty five Indians whom he understood were warriors of the Creek Nation, That, from the conversation which passed during the time this deponent was in their Company,, [deleted text: the Said ] [added text: to wit ] McGilveray Willett and the Warriors,, he understood that they were then on their way to New York, that they had waggons [wagons] with a large quantity of Baggage therein, and Set out the same day on their rout [route], that they were to proceed on to Petersburgh in Virginia & there to take Stages to the Seat of The Federal Government
