Feby 23d [February 23rd] 1784

Whereas it appears by a letter from the Honrable [Honorable] Edward Telfair Esquire, that the Commissioners appointed to hold a Treaty with the Creek Indians, did promise to the Tallesee and Fat Kings, some Presents in consequence of their fidelity and Attachment to their white brethren during the late War, and for their acquiesance [acquiescence] and support in the late acquired Cession; therefore Resolved, that the Governor and Council be empowered to draw on the Treasurer for a sum not exceeding fifty pounds to be paid to the Commissioners to be [deleted text: appointed ] applied to the purpose aforesaid.
