- This is a receipt dated August 7, 1807 for various provisional goods received from U. S. agent Levi Sheftall as part of the Cherokee annuity. The goods were received and signed for by Joseph P. (?) and were to be sent to W. L. Lovely, an assistant agent to the Cherokees in Augusta. Also enumerated on the receipt are supplies for the U.S. army garrison on the Hiwassee River, to be delivered to Captain A. B. Armistead.

Received of Levi Sheftall United States Agent on board the flatt -- called the [unclear text: Missippian ] -- the following Goods all marked as in the margin, Ten Bales merchandize [merchandise], Twenty Seven Teirces Merchandize [Tierces Merchandise], also four Hogsheads, three Tierces, four Barrels, three Kegs, one Box merchandize [merchandise], all marked as in the margin, which I have Received in good order, and promised to deliver them in like order to W.
