Personally appeared before me Thomas Waters Esquire one of His Majestys Justices of the Peace for Said Parish -- Alexander Campbell Trader to the Cherokee Nation who being Duly Sworn on the holy Evangelist of almighty God, and Saith that the above mentioned Horses were taken from him by order of Colo. [Colonel] James Grierson of Augusta for his Majestys Service, and that the above described Horses were valued by three freeholders at the above prices to the best of my knowledge
