Inclosed I send you a Letter I received Yesterday from John Simpson &Co. of Charleston acquainting me that my two negro Fellows Ben & Glascon are in the Work House there and I shall depend upon you to get these Gentn. [Gentlemen] Jacob Valk, or any oth [document damaged: er ] Person in Charlesto. who you think will do me Justice to sell them to the best advantage & as soon as possible to save any further Expense or risque [risk] . -- I mentioned to you on a former occasion that I was determined to dispose of them, as they got acquainted with that Villain the Indian Doctor who conveyed them to the Nation & Lives in our Neighbourhood altho [Neighborhood although] they are the most Valuable Slaves I own, being both good Sawyers Squarers [added text: Boatmen ] & Shingle makers as well as Field Slaves & no runaways untill [until] they were [illegible text] away this Time which can be no disadvantage where they are at Distance from the Indian Doctor, as neither of them are Woodsmen.~ Ben is also my Cooper, he is a Stout strong well made Fellow about 40 years of age & Speaks a Little [document damaged: French ] which he Learnd [Learned] as well as English in his own Country Glascon a Slim neat made Fellow about 25 year old & I think something taller than Ben, both of the [illegible text] [added text: or Congo ] Country.~ You know but how to Serve me in this matter to the best advantage, & begg [beg] you will not neglect it & you will oblig Dr. [oblige Dear] Sir
