Sir.
Your letter of the 13th inst. [instant] accompanied by the evidence which you had taken in relation to the Creek land claims, & which had been improperly transmitted has been recd. [received] by this day's mail. In the report has been found the letter of the 9th ult. [ultimo] which you state has not been recd. [received] It had been placed in the report without being folded, and had not been discovered by you. It is now returned enclosed.
You will find in it a solution of some of the questions propounded in your letter of the 13th inst. [instant]
It will be proper for you to give

to the claimants, a certificate of the confirmation of their claims, and where surveys are necessary to cause them to be made.
The receiver of register of the land office at St. Stephens have been directed to cancel the sale of the land which had been confirmed to Indian claimants, & which had therefore been improperly sold.
