[ Note: This document contains both written and printed text. ] WHEREAS by an Advertisement in the
South-Carolina Gazette
, No. 1302, Notice is given that on the
Tenth Day of December next, will be exposed to Sale in the Town of Savanna, (agreeable to an Order of his Majesty in Council) the valuable Islands of Ossaba and Sappelo, laying on the Sea Coast of that Province. And whereas I the Subscriber, have to an undivided Moiety of the same Islands, a valid and legal Title, by Virtue of a good and sufficient Deed of Bargain and Sale from Thomas Bosomworth and Mary his Wife, who were the Original Purchasers, under Mico the Prince and Chief of all the Assembled States of the [added text: [written text: lower ] ] Creek Indians, to whom the fame formerly of Right belonged; which said Purchase has been Ratify'd [Ratified] and Confirmed in Public Treaty with the said Indians . And whereas I am determined immediately, in all humble Manner, to present a Petition to his Majesty, setting [added text: [written text: forth ] ] my Right and Title to the same Moiety of the said Islands, in humble Hopes and Assurance of having the same restored and secured to me, agreable [agreeable] to my Right and the Rules of Law and Justice. Therefore I do hereby give Notice of, and Advertise the Public, and all such Persons that shall become Purchasers of the same Islands, of my said Claim, Right and Pretensions, and of my Intention and Resolution of making such Application to his Majesty, that such Purchasers may Purchase under the Incumbrance of my Title, and may not take the Advantages usually allowed to bona fide Purchasers without Notice.
