I have been unwell more than three weeks, but thro [through] the goodness of god, I am better, and intend to Set out for Onoyda as [added text: soon as ] I am able to travil [travel] . -- I was too late for our presbutery [presbytery] .- and I intended to be at our [unclear text: Revd. [Reverend] Synod ] but I have just heard by an [added text: Indian ] just come [added text: from ] Onoyda that there is to be a Council or [unclear text: Treatie [Treaty] ] of Indians and English, in the beginning of
June,- and if it be possible, I woud [would] be there, then I may have an opportunity of seing [seeing] some of [unclear text: Several ] Tribes, and have Conversation with them, concerning Religion (Here with I send a Letter to Docr. [Doctor] Duffield in Philadelphia) I beg the favour [favor], that you woud [would] send it by the first opportunity) This with greatest Esteem, and gratitude is from
