Indian Civilization.
It will appear from the following correspondence that the Creek Indians are alive to the great object of educating their Children; and that the deligation [delegation] [added text: recently ] [deleted text: now ] in Washington has appointed twenty four thousand Dollars [added text: of their means ] to de disposed of under the direction of the President of the U. States in promoting it. We see in this much to admire. The Creeks [added text: have ] followed the Choctaws, -- & they the Chickasaws, & these again the Cherokees, all of whom have allotted large annuities for the same object.
