Dear Sir.
Upon examination of the list of lands reported as unsold I find on the list of the Broken arrow Town No. 113 [illegible text] S. 36.18.27. Upon farther examination I have found that this contract is entered on Genl. [General] Sanfords Book of certification as sold & certified to you. Some person has filed a claim under an uncertified deed, which I imagine is a fraudulent claim. My object in writing this is to ask you whether you claim the land & if so, to inform you that it will be necessary for you to have a copy deed made out, if you cannot find the copy kept by Genl. [General] Sanford & have it sworn to and also that the original is lost. By doing this you can save the land. The entry of certification is in Genl. [General] Sanfords own hand writing -- Please let me hear from you.
Your friend
[Signed] Joseph Bryan
