Sir,
You are hereby ordered immediately upon your return to this post to ascertain as nearly as possible [deleted text: [illegible text] ] if there are any Indians in your neighbourhood [neighborhood] yet at large, [deleted text: if ], and how many, & cause them to be taken speedily -- Those however which you have already in your custody you will send forth with to N. [New] Echota under a safe escort; and report to the Comg [Commanding] General. -- I am happy to learn that your sick are convalescent.
