- This document is a copy of military orders, prepared by Miller Grieve, Aide-de-camp, and sent to Captain Isaac S. Vincent commanding him to march to New Echota to participate in the removal the Cherokee Indians from the state of Georgia. Vincent is also informed that his company will be supplied with arms either at New Echota, or along the march at Gainesville, Ga. or Dahlonega, Ga. The orders are dated May 1838 and were sent from headquarters at Milledgeville, Ga.
