if there be any thing [anything] wrong in the Settlement with Jas [James] W. Patton it shall be made right

I have notified [unclear text: Lyons ] to be there On Wednesday for the purpose of ascertaining what amount he paid you on a note you sold Patton, I regret to state some information has reached Me which would make an interview at your house extremely unpleasant, until we can have an opportunity of coming and arranging our business, which if it meets your approbation can I have no doubt be satisfactorily arranged at the time stated, the information above refered [referred] to prevented me from coming to see you previously
