the Commissioners
Gentlemen,
I herewith enclose to you a communication from Mr. John Ridge in relation to some land claimed by Mr. Boudinot, and asks protection. As the public buildings & improvements in New Echota have been reserved for "the public and free use of the United States and the Cherokee Indians for the purpose of Settling and closing all the Indian business arising under the treaty between the Commissioners and the Indians" I would be gratified with your views on the subject to which your attention is respectfully called & I will call on you for that purpose in course of an hour or less
