- Letter, dated February 18, 1840, from Benjamin Poore in Coosawatee, Ga. (Murray County) to Gorham Parsons Esq. in Massachusetts, describing Poore's intentions for the running of his plantation. Poore includes a description of the land surrounding his plantation which had been inhabited by the Cherokees until their forced removal in 1838.
