- The bow of the Knot ship Coastal Ranger, a cargo freighter smaller than a Liberty ship, behind a ceremonial launching platform in the shipyard of the J.A. Jones Construction Company in Brunswick, Georgia. The ninety-ninth and last ship completed by the J.A. Jones Construction Company at the Brunswick shipyard, her keel was laid on June 7, 1945, launched on August 25, 1945, and delivered in December 1945.
