- Dalton, 1976. Flora Caldwell (Mrs. Kelley) and Mary Gene Dykes (Mrs. Clay, Jr.) in costume for the First Lady contest. This was an activity that was part of Dalton's and Whitfield County's celebration of the National Bicentennial. Mrs. Caldwell served as secretary of the Bicentennial Commission for Dalton-Whitfield County. Mrs. Dykes served as special events chairwoman of the above and was a co-chairwoman of the Bicentennial Celebration Week Executive Committee.
