- Dalton, late 1950s. First Presbyterian Church located on Selvidge Street. It was organized in 1847. It was destroyed during the Civil War and was rebuilt. Over the years it has been remodeled several times. At right the Chapel and Educational Building, added in the 1950s, can be seen. Dr. Samuel Wilkes Dendy was the minister at this time.
