- Description:
- Cohutta, ca. 1930s - 1940s. Mr. Shugart (left) and an unidentified man standing beside a truck loaded with bales of cotton. Mr. Shugart operated Shugart's Cotton Gin. In 1978 the gin was dismantled and moved to Prater's Mill, where in 1979 it was reassembled. Prater's Mill is located on Coahulla Creek along Ga. Highway 2 about 10 miles north of Dalton.
