- Whitfield County, 1903. This Oldsmobile is said to have been the first automobile in Dalton, Ga. It was owned by Henry Losson Smith. Mr. Smith may be the man behind the wheel in this photograph which was taken at Luken Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Smith and Lulu Smith, age 6, are the occupants of the automobile.
