- North of Dalton, ca. 1930. View of Ga. Highway 71 that connects with Cleveland, Tenn. This section of the highway is located about 5 miles north of Dalton. It was sometimes known as the Cleveland Highway or the Dalton Pike. The Structure in the left foreground with the Coca-Cola sign is Sale's Service Station. Sales Johnson lived behind the station. Airplanes from the Dalton Airport, located across the highway from the station, had to taxi over to be refueled.
