- Near Dalton, ca. 1902. Group of friends gathered at the home of M. E. Judd poses for a photograph. left to right: Will Denton, Mrs. Martin, Willie White, Will D. Wailes, William Nathaniel Harben, May Davis, Mrs. B. A. Tyler, Mrs. Robert Julian McCamy, Ed Davis, Billy Martin, Robert Loveman, Maybelle Harben. The two men in the very back are unidentified. Harben (1858-1919) was born in Dalton. He was a novelist whose subjects usually were the people and land of north Georgia. Loveman (1864-1923) moved to Dalton as a child. He was a poet.
