- Whitfield County, ca. 1977. Visitors inspect the arts and crafts on exhibit and for sale at the Prater's Mill Country Fair. The fair is held in the fall at Prater's Mill. This gristmill, seen in the photograph, was built in 1859 by Benjamin Prater. It is located on Coahulla Creek along Ga. Highway 2 about 10 miles north of Dalton. In the early 1970s the mill was renovated.
